Komatsu Forklift Announces NEW AX50 Model Family
Covington, GA � January 8, 2007. It is with great excitement that Komatsu Forklift U.S.A., Inc. announces the introduction of the newest addition to the Komatsu Forklift family of internal combustion cushion and pneumatic tire models, the new AX50. The AX50 will replace the current AX20 Series with models in 3,000 and 3,500 lbs. of capacity.
The new AX50 will offer many of the same great new features introduced with the new BX50, along with EPA Tier 2 compliance level engines. New AX50 features include:
�The Komfort Zone� dual floating operator cabin for greater operator comfort and reduced vibration
KOPS Plus to lock out lift and travel when the operator leaves the seat
K21 Tier 2 compliant ECCS high torque engine in gasoline or LPG
High visibility EZview masts
Tilt steering console with small diameter steering wheel
Fully hydrostatic power steering
Single piece, fully insulated all steel engine cover for reduced heat and vibration
Pneumatic model has wide-open step area with non-slip surface, while cushion model offers wide, in-frame step with non-slip surface.
Both models have a full-width rubber floor mat
New Komatsu designed and manufactured transmission with high capacity oil cooler and aluminum alloy transmission case
Extended service intervals reduce maintenance costs and downtime
